Hello and welcome to NHS! We are a group of highly-motivated students making Lexington High School and our greater community a better place; throughout the year, we collectively complete thousands of hours of community service.
In January 2021, the National Honor Society created the NHS Council: a group of NHS students working together to plan events and better run the club. Please click below to learn more about the council and its initiatives.
The National Honor Society is run by your student officers Elena Sabin, Saumith Menon, Paco De Amorrortu, and Sam Offsey. Our advisor is Dr. Parul Kumar.
Your leaders are responsible for keeping members informed of upcoming deadlines, projects, and events. If you have any questions about NHS, please email any of your officers and we will help.

VP of Community Service
Hi everyone! My name is Paco and I am your Vice President of Community Service this year! I am big on card games, swimming (preferably in the ocean), and playing soccer with friends and family. I believe in the importance of creating strong relationships with the people you work with in order to come together for the common goal of helping others. With that said, I am very much looking forward to getting to know all of you!
VP of Web and Administration
Hi NHS Members! My name is Sam Offsey and I am excited to be your VP of Web and Administration. I will be working to keep the website up to date, track hours and update our project lists. This year, I am looking forward to running great events such as the talent show and game nights! At LHS, I play tenor saxophone in the LHS Jazz Combo and am involved with student government. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading biographies, and discovering new music!
Hello everyone, I am Parul Kumar and I teach AP Chemistry. I have been the advisor for the National Honor Society since 2003. I live with my husband, and I have two grown children. My hobbies include traveling, painting, acting, and cooking! I am here to help all of you seek and participate in community service activities and build character. I am honored and excited to work with all of you. I am looking forward to having a great year together!
